Faith:

Believe:
1. to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.
2. to have confidence or faith in the truth of (a positive assertion, story, etc.); give credence to.
3. to have confidence in the assertions of (a person).
4. to have a conviction that (a person or thing) is, has been, or will be engaged in a given action or involved in a given situation: The fugitive is believed to be headed for the Mexican border.
5. to suppose or assume; understand (usually followed by a noun clause): I believe that he has left town.
Fear:
1. a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or
imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid. Synonyms: foreboding, apprehension, consternation, dismay, dread, terror, fright, panic, horror, trepidation, qualm. Antonyms: courage, security, calm, intrepidity.
2. a specific instance of or propensity for such a feeling: an abnormal fear of heights. Synonyms: phobia, aversion; bête noire, bogy, bogey, bugbear. Antonyms: liking, fondness, penchant, predilection.
3. concern or anxiety; solicitude: a fear for someone's safety.
4. reverential awe, especially toward God: the fear of God. Synonyms: awe, respect, reverence, veneration.
5. something that causes feelings of dread or apprehension; something a person is afraid of: Cancer is a common fear.
Fear not:
Isa.41.10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous. There is no definition for these words.
Believing God:
John 6:29; Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent. This means to have faith and trust in God, because the Word tells us to have faith.
Let's look at how faith was put into action by those who came before us….
Hebrews 11:17-29
By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
Abraham loved and trusted God more than anything. He knew that God would NEVER go back on His Word. So, He was willing to sacrifice Isaac, because he knew that God would make a way to keep His promise. He was GREAT man of faith. How many of us would be willing to exercise that kind of faith?
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
These men looked to the future by faith. They knew that better days were coming. They didn't have to "see," they simply had faith.
By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
Moses was a wonderful example of faith at work. He left the comforts of the palace to fulfill the call of God. He dealt with an ungodly king and a bunch of complainers. He was treasured by God because he BELIEVED God. He put down his staff and parted the red sea by faith. He believed what God had told him. He lived by faith. AMEN!!!

Faith is the opposite of fear. So, if you lack faith, fear is the culprit. Whom or what have you to fear with God on your side??
If God is for us, who can be against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] Romans 8:31. Great!
Let's memorize this scripture: Hebrews 11:6
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
