BIBLE STUDY OF BOOK OF PROVERBS WEEK # 2 (SCRIPTURE REFERENCE)

As I read my weekly scripture references, I notice these words, and looked them up in a dictionary.

What is a prudent man? Proverbs 12:23

The definition of prudent is someone who has good judgment and is careful and practical.

An example of prudent is someone who consults with a financial advisor before investing money.

What is a scornful man? Proverbs 14:6

The definition of scornful is a feeling, attitude or expression of contempt or of looking down on someone.

An example of something that would be described as scornful is a mocking expression or a phrase making fun of someone.

What is a transgressor?

1. To pass over or beyond any limit; to surpass.

2. In a moral sense, to overpass any rule prescribed as the limit of duty; to break or violate a law, civil or moral. To transgress a divine law, is sin. Legislators should not transgress laws of their own making.

A prudent man will seek knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, but a scorner will not. The ways of a scorner show you they do not seek wisdom from the book of Proverbs.
