As I was reading my study I saw this and wanted to share it.........
Luke's Gospel is not a dry theological treatise. He was excited by what he had discovered, and he wanted to share that excitement and joy with his readers. "Gospel" is an old English word meaning "good news." No one has conveyed that good news better than the "beloved physician."
He was excited about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. This is how we should be today, amen. We should be excited and willing to share with others about the Lord, even with those who already know Him, because the Word says, we are our brothers' keeper. We encourage one another when we share the Word with them.
Dr. Luke was excited!!!
I also want to share that Dr. Luke was not one of the original Apostles.
