Week # 3 

 

"Speak the Word and Go Your Way"

And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: and seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. —Mark 11:12-14

Jesus came to a fig tree looking for fruit, but there was no fruit. So He cursed the fig tree and just walked away. We can learn a faith lesson here. Although the tree didn't change immediately, Jesus didn't wonder whether His words had worked. He just walked away in faith knowing His words were working. When they returned from Jerusalem the next day, His disciples said, "Master, the fig tree you cursed is withered away! It died from the roots!" (v. 21.) Of course! Second Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." You see, it didn't matter what Jesus saw. It was what He believed that made the difference. That's the very basis of faith. Faith is walking by what God says instead of what you see—because what God says will change what you see! Faith is placing your confidence in the truth. Romans 3:4 says, "Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar…." In John 17:17 Jesus says, "Thy word is truth." The only real truth we find in this world is the Word of God, and it takes precedence above experiences, opinions, or doctrines. Speak words of faith, and your words will surely come to pass.

Confession: I speak in faith over my body and call myself healed, whole, well, strong, and victorious.

QUESTIONS:

 

1). What do you think it means to "disconnect to Connect"?

You've got to get rid of things that are displeasing to God, things that cause you not to communicate with God, things that cause you not to read God's Word.  Most of all, you have to have faith in all of God's Word, not just what you want to believe in.  This mean a broken relationship with God, if you are not connect to Him.

2). What have you learned so far in this bible study?

I have learned to keep trusting God when it comes to my healer. The enemy will come and try to discourage you every time, but we must keep trusting no matter what.  Stand on God's Word always, even to the end. One thing is that men don't believe because of the lack of faith in God's full word.

3). Read (Romans 12:2) for food for the mind.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

4). If we ignore the Bible's teaching we will be focus on what?

This focus will be on us and not on God.

5). Why do you think people stop teaching healing?

"People feel responsible if they teach healing and a person they pray for don't receive healing." This is why they teach against it today.

6). How did Jesus get the message of healing to the people?

"Then Jesus went about all cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing 'every sickness and  every disease among the people'."

7). Read (Matthew 9:35 and Matthew 4:23).

"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."  "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."  This is through-out the Scriptures.

"¹² And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians. ¹³ And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign." "¹⁹ But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

This will happen when we start doubting God and His Word.

Reading (John 5:1-9):

 

"1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. ² Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. ³ In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. ⁴ For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. ⁵ And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. ⁶ When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?  ⁷ The impotent man answered him, Sir I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. ⁸ Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. ⁹ And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath." 

MY CONFESSION TODAY

CONFESSION:

 

I am abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord that healeth me, is my refuge and fortress against disease. His Word is my shield and buckler against sickness. I'm trusting under His wings because Malachi 4:2 says there is healing in His wings. I'm not afraid of disease. I'm not afraid of sickness. I'm abiding under the shadow of Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord that healeth me. No plague shall come nigh my dwelling or my body. I resist sickness and disease. I refuse to accept it! It's not mine! I refuse to be sick in Jesus' Name. Sickness cannot trespass in my body. Sickness, (name it), you can't come nigh my dwelling. I refuse you! I resist you!

 

LET'S PRAY

Prayer:

 

Dear Lord, forgive us for sometimes succumbing to the allures of this world in our desire to be known or to feel wanted. Help us make time to go on a detox regularly, so we might learn restrain and not become hooked, addicted or obsessed. We know by our own will and effort, we cannot overcome our boastful pride or the desires of the eyes or flesh, so we submit ourselves to You. Grant us Your strength that we might be overcomers and not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we might prove Your will is good, acceptable and perfect.

Bible Study: “God Still Heal through His Word” Week # 3

SUBJECT:         "Disconnect to Connect"

 

Scripture Reading:       Romans 12:2

 

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2 NAS)

 

This came to me as I was meditating on this bible study. God want to connect with us and move more in our lives.  We must disconnect from unbelief and connect with faith in God's Word.  This is how we can get our healing and everything else we need from God. I read this on the internet…….

 

We are globally connected. With ease we can communicate with friends, virtually around the world. New technologies open up unparalleled opportunities to spread the gospel and the Advent message. They can aid us in our study of the Bible, but they can also lure us into sin. Today we have become accustomed to being constantly available, and in turn we expect to have instant access to the Internet. Yet the World Wide Web brings with it a strange paradox. At the same speed it connects us around the world it often seems to isolate us from real-life relationships around the corner. The focus is on a virtual reality and on me!

 

I must say this again if I have already said it. People feel responsible if they teach healing and a person they pray for don't receive healing. They stop teaching it for this reason. It is still God's plan to heal all those who reach out and receive with faith; Jesus taught and then healed the people. We must teach healing so they can hear and be healed.  Jesus went around teaching and preaching so people could get healed "Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people." (Matthew 9:35; Matthew 4:23) If you read the four Gospel you will find that Jesus taught them so they could hear God's Word speak to them. Jesus is the Word!  Disconnect from disbelief, so you  can connect with faith in Jesus healing ministry through God's Word.

 

Disbelief causes us to be disconnected with God, and when we are disconnected we make wrong decisions. I read about King Asa of Judah in (II Chronicles 16:12-13), he made a bad decision and decided to trust physicians before he trusted God.  Read it!  God wants us to look to Him for all our needs (Philippians 4:19).  It may be hard to accept but that God's Word for those who believe.

 

The Bible warns us not to be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so we might prove what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2). We may say we have the right to do anything, but we need to know not all things are beneficial (1 Corinthians 10:23). Rather than give in to the desires of the eyes or of the flesh or to boastful pride of life, let us  submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us (1 John 2:16; James 4:7).

 

Listen to this, Samson decided to disconnect from God when he connected with Delilah. The Philistines came upon him and he was in trouble. Samson had connected himself with wrong doing according to God (Judges 16:1-31). In verse (28) Samson reconnected with God.  We must stay connect with God's Word and with faith in Him. Our minds may tell us that was years ago!  But, we must remember God is still the same God, His Word does not change, just as He never will change; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more.  We are healed today too!!!

 

 

 

PRAYER:
